Job Description

NEW Exciting Business coming to Old Town Cottonwood! Overview We are seeking charismatic, knowledgeable, and multi-talented Booktenders. In this unique dual role, you will act as both a mixologist and an insightful literary matchmaker. Craft & execute a creative, seasonally rotating cocktail menu that Is literary-inspired. Cultivate an Immersive, moody, & welcoming environment. Serve as a literary advisor, engage guests In thoughtful discussions. An Interest In reading Is preferred but not required. We offer competitive hourly wages plus tips. This Is an opportunity to help shape community events, clubs and menu curations. Creative minds encouraged to apply Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair. Manage POS systems such as Aloha to process orders, payments, and cash transactions accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging guests, taking drink orders, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations. Monitor inventory levels of spirits, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes; assist with stock replenishment as needed. Handle cash handling responsibilities efficiently while processing payments swiftly during busy hours. Uphold responsible alcohol service practices by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication. Assist in bar management duties such as scheduling shifts, training new staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Skills Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, mixology techniques, and beverage recipe development. Proven experience in bartending within fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality settings. Proficiency with POS systems Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality or service speed. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest experiences. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or banquet settings. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health standards. Experience in beverage alcohol safety regulations and responsible service practices. Familiarity with hospitality industry tools like serving techniques, catering logistics, and bar management principles. From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
