Job Description:

Kitchen Staff / Bartender & Barista Join the team at voco by IHG, where you will play an important role in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our guests. As a Kitchen Staff / Bartender & Barista, you will assist with food preparation, prepare and serve coffee and alcoholic beverages, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and provide outstanding customer service. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to hotel standards. Prepare breakfast items, appetizers, and other menu items while maintaining consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation. Ensure all food and beverages meet quality, portion, and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, bar, café, and food preparation areas. Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment while following sanitation guidelines. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking food, beverages, and supplies. Operate kitchen equipment, coffee machines, and POS systems safely and efficiently. Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with the minimum age requirements for alcohol service. Process guest orders and payments accurately while providing exceptional customer service. Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and responsible alcohol service regulations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences. Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, café, bar, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required . Training will be provided to the right candidate. Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, knife handling, and safe food storage practices is preferred. Ability to prepare breakfast items, appetizers, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Food Handler Certification is preferred or must be obtained as required by law. Previous experience as a cook, line cook, prep cook, chef, bartender, or barista is an advantage. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment, coffee machines, and POS systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be at least 21 years of age . Must be authorized to work in the United States. Responsible Alcohol Service Certification (such as TIPS) is preferred but not required.
