AM & PM Shifts Job Summary CALA Bartenders create a high-energy, elevated bar experience that blends coastal style with exceptional product knowledge and hospitality. Bartenders are responsible for crafting cocktails with precision, maintaining an organized and efficient bar, and providing warm, genuine service to both bar guests and the dining room team. The role requires strong multitasking, a polished presence, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Bartending & Beverage Execution Craft cocktails according to CALA recipes, specs, and presentation standards. Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency during high-volume service. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and N/A offerings. Uphold standards for garnish prep, batching, syrup production, juicing, and station setup. Maintain clean, organized wells and bar top throughout service. Guest Experience & Hospitality Deliver CALA's signature warm, coastal-inspired hospitality to every guest. Manage bar guests with attentiveness, pacing awareness, and strong interpersonal communication. Provide full-service experiences including menu guidance, dietary information, and upselling. Quickly and professionally resolve guest concerns or feedback. Team Support & Collaboration Support Servers by preparing drinks for the dining room in a timely, organized manner. Communicate clearly with the bar team, service well, runners, and cocktail servers. Participate in bar opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures with accuracy. Compliance, Safety & Standards Adhere to Arizona liquor laws and CALA's responsible alcohol service policies. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organizational standards across bar equipment and prep areas. Ensure accurate cash handling, comp/void procedures, and POS accuracy. Skills & Qualifications 1-2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale environment preferred. Strong cocktail knowledge and ability to follow recipes consistently. Excellent communication, guest service, and multitasking abilities. Must have (or obtain) AZ Food Handler Card and Liquor Certification. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
