We're looking to add a full-time sommelier to help oversee beverage operations, with a very large wine program consisting of roughly 4,000 selections. The start date would be mid July, with an expected opening day of the restaurant in early September. The restaurant will be making a sincere effort to achieve Michelin Star success as well as having a wine list that we hope will garner attention from Wine Spectator. Ideal candidates should have serving/bartending experience in fine-dining, management experience, and be in pursuit of additional certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers and/or WSET. This position would be particularly well suited to a sommelier with interest in more hands-on role in overseeing a beverage program. Bacchus Management Group promotes continued education through the CMS, with increased incentives for success at various CMS accreditation levels. Such benefits include:
Annual, all-expenses-paid European travel opportunities to visit historic wine-growing regions. Full reimbursement for successful passes of CMS Introductory and Certified examinations. $1,750 annual stipend for Advanced Course/Advanced Exam/Master Exam tuition and expenses. Compensation incentives for successful passes of the CMS Introductory, Certified and Advanced examinations with commensurate recognition of WSET levels. Sales Commission percentage in addition to a competitive base salary. $125 quarterly educational reimbursement allowance for books, magazine subscriptions, GuildSomm membership etc. 401k with company contribution for all employees (4% match on 5% contribution.) Monthly Cell-phone reimbursement. Two weeks PTO for full-time positions, with an additional day for every year of tenure. Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage. Wine at cost. Relocation stipend for the right candidate.
