Job Description

BCYC Bartender Job DescriptionThe Bartender provides friendly, professional, and attentive service while creating a welcoming experience for Club members and guests. This position prepares and serves beverages, takes food and drink orders, maintains a clean and organized bar, and works closely with the service team to ensure efficient Club operations.

Essential ResponsibilitiesGreet members and guests warmly and provide exceptional service.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to Club recipes and standards.

Interact professionally with members and anticipate their needs.

Work cooperatively with servers, managers, kitchen staff, and fellow bartenders.

Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization behind the bar and in all service areas.

Continuously clean bar tops, equipment, glassware, tools, refrigerators, sinks, and workstations.

Restock liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.

Complete all assigned opening and closing duties thoroughly and on time.

Follow proper cash-handling, inventory-control, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.

Report spills, breakage, shortages, member concerns, and equipment problems to management.

Follow all Club policies, health and safety standards, and California alcohol-service requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsPrevious bartending or hospitality experience preferred.

Strong communication, teamwork, and member-service skills.

Knowledge of common cocktails, beer, wine, and proper serving techniques.

Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented.

Able to remain organized and composed in a busy Club environment.

Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Must hold or obtain all required food-handler and responsible beverage-service certifications.
