As a vital support to bartenders and the overall venue operation, you'll ensure the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and running smoothly. This role offers a fast-paced environment filled with opportunities to develop your skills in food and beverage service, customer interaction, and venue operations. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Responsibilities Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, glassware, and beverages quickly and efficiently to maintain seamless service. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning surfaces, washing glassware, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar and dining areas promptly to uphold a tidy environment. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, moving kegs or boxes of beverages with proper technique. Support food preparation activities when needed, including basic garnishing or assembling simple menu items. Ensure all venue beverage service complies with safety regulations and alcohol service policies. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for transactions when required, assisting with cash handling and cashiering duties. Skills Strong cleaning skills to maintain a spotless bar environment at all times. Experience in bussing, bar cleaning, or food service roles within restaurants, nightclubs, or catering settings. Knowledge of food industry standards and hospitality best practices for safety and sanitation. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction. Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory management. Previous experience in venue beverage service or nightclub environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and restaurant operations enhances your versatility in this role.
