Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional holidays and special events Position Summary Merriam Vineyards is seeking an energetic, dependable Weekend Bar Back to support our tasting room team and help create an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for keeping the tasting room operating smoothly by maintaining inventory, preparing tasting stations, washing and polishing glassware, stocking supplies, and assisting Wine Ambassadors throughout the day. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, takes pride in staying organized, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Essential Responsibilities Prepare the tasting room before opening each day. Wash, polish, and organize wine glasses throughout service. Stock wine, water, merchandise bags, and tasting supplies. Replenish retail and hospitality inventory as needed. Keep bars, service areas, and storage spaces clean and organized. Assist with bussing tables and resetting tasting areas. Help prepare and serve food pairings when requested. Dispose of recycling, cardboard, and trash throughout the day. Assist with event setup and breakdown. Support Wine Ambassadors by anticipating operational needs. Maintain cleanliness of guest and employee areas. Perform other duties as assigned to support tasting room operations. Qualifications Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Reliable and punctual. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working as part of a team. Previous restaurant, winery, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years old. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs as needed. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
