Must be 21+ About Kitsch + Sync Kitsch + Sync (pronounced kitchen sink ) is a new family-first restaurant and play experience opening in downtown Novato. We combine elevated café-style food and beverages with a safe, engaging indoor play environment so parents can relax while their kids explore, climb, and burn off energy. Our mission is to create a vibrant community hub where families can connect, kids can play freely, and parents can actually enjoy going out again.

• Community programming like movie nights and family trivia We're building a small, high-quality opening team and are looking for an experienced, guest-focused Bartender + Host + Cashier who is comfortable moving between beverage service, welcoming families, taking orders, and general front-of-house support.

The Role This is not a traditional bartending job. Kitsch + Sync serves beer and wine, a small selection of simple mixed drinks, basic coffee drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages. There is no espresso machine and no large craft-cocktail program. The right candidate should be comfortable behind a bar but equally happy greeting families, taking orders, running the register, answering questions, keeping service areas clean, and jumping in wherever needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality and wants a varied, hands-on position in a lively family environment. Some shifts will be relaxed and social. Others will be busy, loud, messy, and fast-moving. We need someone who can handle both with confidence and good judgment. Key Responsibilities Beer, Wine + Beverage Service

• Pour and serve beer and wine accurately and responsibly
• Prepare a small menu of simple mixed drinks according to Kitsch + Sync recipes and standards
• Prepare basic coffee drinks and non-alcoholic beverages; no espresso-machine experience required
• Check identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready bar and beverage station
• Restock beer, wine, mixers, glassware, coffee supplies, and other beverage items Host + Guest Experience
• Welcome guests and families with friendly, confident service
• Help guests understand seating, ordering, play passes, memberships, waivers, and events
• Assist families with check-in and general questions about the space
• Help maintain smooth guest flow during busy periods, parties, and events
• Communicate clearly with parents, children, managers, and teammates
• Help create a relaxed, welcoming environment for both adults and kids Cashier + Service
• Take food and beverage orders and process payments using Toast POS
• Answer basic menu questions and help guests navigate ordering
• Support food running, table bussing, resetting, and general front-of-house service
• Handle transactions accurately and follow Company cash and POS procedures
• Stay attentive to guest needs and help resolve routine questions or concerns Cleaning + Operations
• Keep the bar, counters, tables, service stations, and guest areas clean and organized
• Wash glassware and dishes, bus tables, take out trash, and restock supplies as needed
• Support opening and closing procedures
• Help keep high-touch family and kid areas clean throughout each shift
• Jump in wherever needed during rushes, events, and staff transitions What We're Looking For
• Must be 21+
• Bartending, restaurant, café, brewery/taproom, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred
• Comfortable serving alcohol responsibly and interacting confidently with guests
• Friendly, helpful, professional, and guest-focused
• Strong English communication required; Spanish bilingual a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and communicative
• Organized, practical, and calm under pressure
• Comfortable working in a busy, family-focused environment with children nearby
• Willing to host, cashier, clean, bus, restock, serve beverages, and help wherever needed
• Able to stand, bend, lift, clean, carry, and move throughout the shift
• Weekend and evening availability strongly preferred
• RBS certification required for alcohol service or must be completed within the required timeframe
• Food handler certification required if assigned duties that require it Bonus if you have experience with:
• Beer and wine service, taprooms, tasting rooms, or casual bars
• Hosting, counter service, or high-volume guest service
• Toast POS or similar restaurant systems
