Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Bartender to join BarrelHouse Brewing Co. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the Craft Beer Industry and excellent customer service skills, ensuring that every guest has an awesome experience at our taproom. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for using appropriate pour techniques, provide recommendations, and maintain a clean and organized bar area while collaborating with other staff members to enhance the overall experience at BHBC.
Pay:
$16.50 + Tips Duties Prepare to discuss and serve a variety of craft beer and seltzer products brewed at BarrelHouse Brewing Co. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and delivering beverages promptly. Maintain beer knowledge both of the industry and of the company, including appropriate verbal descriptions for both aroma and taste. Maintain knowledge of basic ingredients of brewed products to assist customers effectively. Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately for processing transactions. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of beverages. Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts. Assist in training new staff members on bar operations and customer service standards as needed. Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and managing tabs. Familiarity with retail concepts is a plus for managing inventory effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of Craft Beer Industry standards is beneficial for enhancing guest experiences. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Cicerone Beer Savy Certification recommended but not required at hire.
