Job Summary The Bartender is responsible for professionally mixing and serving beverages while delivering exceptional guest service during catered events. This role supports all aspects of bar operations, including beverage preparation, guest interaction, event setup and breakdown, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol service and safety regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Guest Service & Beverage Service (30%) Provide professional and attentive beverage service to guests Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages Take beverage orders directly from guests and ensure timely, accurate service Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas throughout events Check guest identification to verify legal drinking age requirements Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously Address guest questions or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible beverage service practices Maintain a welcoming, energetic, and guest-focused atmosphere Adjust service priorities to support changing event needs Event Execution (30%) Assist with bar setup and breakdown, including bars, tables, service stations, and equipment Prepare bar ingredients including garnishes, mixers, fruit, and liquor supplies Stock bars, guest tables, and service stations throughout events Follow event timelines and supervisor direction to ensure smooth service flow Continuously maintain cleanliness of workspaces and event areas during service Clean bars, dishes, glassware, bar equipment, and service areas after events Assist with packing, loading, and unloading event equipment and supplies Inventory remaining alcohol and complete bar reporting as required Support food service area cleanup and overall event breakdown Assist as Event Staff based on company needs Team Collaboration & Professional Development (20%) Work collaboratively with kitchen, event, and management teams Assist temporary staff assigned to bar areas and help maintain company service standards Participate in training and skill development opportunities Demonstrate willingness to learn new beverage service techniques and event operations Manage break compliance for yourself and bar team members as assigned Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Provide support during high-volume service periods Compliance & Safety (20%) Follow all company safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Comply with California ABC laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines Adhere to all food handling and beverage service regulations Report safety hazards, incidents, or guest concerns immediately Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times Follow all Personal Touch Dining bartending policies and procedures Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must be 21 years or older due to alcohol service requirements
Required:
Full availability on Fridays & Saturdays OR Saturdays & Sundays
  • Optional/flex availability for all other days
  • Willingness to complete California ABC RBS Certification and Food Handler Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) months of bartending or beverage service experience required
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
