Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Barback with prior restaurant experience to provide essential support to our bartending team, primarily during peak weekend hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our bartenders have everything they need to deliver outstanding service. This position requires weekend availability and the ability to operate a fryer station during service hours.
Responsibilities:
Stocking & Inventory:
Efficiently restock all bar supplies, including spirits, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and drinkware throughout shifts. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock to bartenders or management.
Preparation:
Prepare garnishes, juices, and other bar-related items as needed.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash and recycling.
Keg & Bottle Changes:
Assist with changing beer kegs and liquor bottles as required.
Support Bartenders:
Anticipate bartender needs and provide timely assistance to ensure smooth service flow.
Customer Service:
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, contributing to a welcoming and entertaining atmosphere. Adherence to
Standards:
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Kitchen Prep:
Responsible for operating and maintaining the kitchen fryer to prepare and cook food items.
Cashier:
Operate POS systems for order entry, ensuring accurate transactions.
Qualifications:
Prior Food Industry Experience (Preferred): Experience working in a restaurant, bar or other food environment is preferred Weekend Availability (Required): Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift and carry heavy cases (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and move quickly and efficiently around the bar area.
Sense of Urgency:
Works efficiently and responds quickly to the needs of the team and guests, especially during high-volume periods.
Strong Work Ethic:
Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with bartenders and other front-of-house staff to reliably following through with requested tasks
