Bartender

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team! Opening new restaurant on the avenue in place of what use to be "south bay". Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashing out customers and balancing registers at shift end. Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe environment, especially in nightclub or banquet settings. Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators for catering, banquet, or food service needs. Stay informed about drink recipes, specials, and promotions to upsell effectively and increase sales. Requirements Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub, or banquet setting; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing. Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders while maintaining quality service. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele positively. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or catering functions. Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with local laws; certifications preferred but not required.
