Sommelier — David Burke Prime, Foxwoods Resort Casino Our three-story wine tower holds 7,500 bottles in the middle of the dining room. The Sommelier is the reason guests look up at it — guiding the list, selling the room, and keeping the cellar in order behind the scenes. David Burke Prime is a classic American steakhouse at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. We are staffing the reopening of our dining room, bar, and kitchen.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Guide guests through the list tableside: read the table, ask the right question, and recommend with confidence at every price point Own the wine program day to day — inventory, receiving, cellar organization, bottle counts, and the by-the-glass rotation Build and maintain the list with the Executive Chef and ownership; pair to a steakhouse menu aged 30 to 75 days Train servers and bartenders on new pours, vintages and pairings; run wine education in pre-shift Manage decanting, service temperature, glassware and preservation so every bottle shows the way it should Handle large-format and reserve bottles, collector requests, and private-dining pairings Track cost of goods, waste and open-bottle loss; report on what is selling and what is not

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Three or more years selling wine on the floor in fine dining, with real responsibility for a list Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers), WSET Level 3, or equivalent experience — certification preferred, palate and floor presence required Someone who sells without pressure: two options, a question about the food, and a graceful exit if the answer is no Working knowledge of classic regions and the confidence to describe wine in guest language rather than reciting appellations Cellar discipline — inventory, rotation and receiving done properly, every week Must be 21 or older; TIPS or equivalent certification, or able to obtain it before opening Reliable and punctual; evening and weekend availability required, and holidays are required for all positions

Full-time Evenings, weekends & holidays required Salary or hourly plus tips, commensurate with experience
