In addition to serving drinks, you will ensure the bar is fully stocked, assist with prep work, and work collaboratively with the team to provide a smooth and efficient operation. A genuine curiosity for wine and spirits, enthusiasm for the craft of mixology, and a willingness to continuously learn are essential to the role. Your passion for customer service and knowledge will help elevate the overall atmosphere and satisfaction of our guests.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all bar supplies (alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, etc.) are stocked and meet required levels. Monitor inventory and notify management of low stock items. Prepare and stock garnishes, syrups, and other cocktail ingredients for shift use. Set up the bar area with necessary garnishes, glassware, cocktail napkins, and any other supplies required for the shift. Ensure all tools (shakers, strainers, etc.) are clean and in place. Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to all guests. Mix and serve alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences. Ensure the quality and consistency of each drink to the specifications of house recipes Keep bar area tidy, wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and disposing of waste appropriately. Breakdown bar station at the end of the shift, clean and store equipment properly. Ensure that all leftover garnishes, liquor, and mixers are properly stored for the next shift. Process customer payments accurately, including handling cash and credit card transactions. Keep track of tabs and ensure accurate charges for drinks served. Observe guests for signs of intoxication and adhere to local laws regarding responsible alcohol service. Ensure guests do not over-consume and handle situations in a professional and tactful manner Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Be aware of emergency procedures and protocols in case of accidents or incidents. Display a genuine interest in learning about different wines, spirits, and cocktail trends. Enthusiastically engage with customers, sharing recommendations based on their preferences and expanding your knowledge of new offerings Show a proactive attitude toward improving bartending skills, including learning new techniques, understanding flavor profiles, and keeping up-to-date with industry trends. Seek out opportunities to attend tastings, workshops, or industry events to enhance your knowledge of spirits, wine, and cocktails.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a bartender preferred. Fine dining experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively. Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Enthusiastic, organized, self- motivated, detail oriented and joyful Excellent customer service skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guests needs and requirements A genuine passion and understanding of food and drink
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
