Bartenders & Servers The Pines Coastal Tavern | Downtown Rehoboth Beach About The Pines Coastal Tavern Located on Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach, The Pines Coastal Tavern is a year-round restaurant and lounge offering dinner, cocktails, entertainment, and genuine hospitality in the heart of town. Guests can dine in the main restaurant, outdoors on our patio, or upstairs in our Treehouse Lounge. The Pines is part of Second Block Hospitality, a locally owned award-winning restaurant group committed to great food, strong service, and creating places where both guests and employees want to be. Position Summary The Pines Coastal Tavern is hiring experienced Bartenders and Servers to join our front-of-house team. We are looking for hospitality professionals who take pride in their work, understand the importance of great service, and know how to create a welcoming experience from the moment a guest arrives. Both roles require strong food and beverage knowledge, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to provide consistent service in a busy upscale casual restaurant and lounge. Key Responsibilities Greet and engage guests with genuine hospitality Provide knowledgeable, attentive food and beverage service Maintain a thorough understanding of our food, cocktail, beer, and wine offerings Accurately take and enter orders using the Toast POS system Follow proper steps of service and maintain accuracy throughout each guest's visit Anticipate guest needs and address questions or concerns professionally Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service areas Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, hosts, managers, and fellow team members Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and allergy awareness procedures Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment Bartenders will prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine while maintaining an organized, efficient, and guest-focused bar Servers will manage their sections while providing attentive, knowledgeable service throughout the dining experience

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Previous bartending or serving experience in an upscale casual, high-volume, or fine dining restaurant preferred

Hospitality:

A genuine commitment to guest service and creating a positive dining experience

Food & Beverage Knowledge:

Strong understanding of food, cocktails, beer, and wine appropriate to the position

Teamwork:

Ability to communicate and work effectively with the entire front and back of house team Attention to

Detail:

Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency throughout service

POS Skills:

Experience with digital POS systems; Toast experience is a plus

Professionalism:

Dependable, prepared, and able to represent The Pines with confidence and professionalism

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical responsibilities of a restaurant service position

Availability:
