About Hall's on 5th Hall's on 5th is Apopka's first food hall—a community gathering place bringing together independent culinary concepts, drinks, events, and experiences under one roof. Our team works together to create an environment that feels welcoming, energetic, clean, and cared for. Because we operate as a food hall rather than a traditional restaurant, teamwork and flexibility are especially important. Everyone plays a role in taking care of our guests and keeping Hall's running smoothly. Position Overview Hall's on 5th is seeking experienced, personable, and dependable Bartenders / Servers to join our team. This is a hybrid hospitality position. Depending on the shift and the needs of the business, team members may be scheduled to work behind the bar, provide floor/table service, assist with food running and guest support, or a combination of these responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between responsibilities, takes initiative, communicates well, and understands that creating a great guest experience is a team effort. Key Responsibilities Bartending & Beverage Service Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, sodas, and other beverages according to Hall's recipes and standards. Maintain strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and Hall's beverage offerings. Provide recommendations and answer guest questions about beverage selections. Maintain consistency, proper portions, presentation, and quality with every beverage. Properly open, maintain, stock, clean, and close the bar. Monitor bar inventory and communicate low-stock items to management. Maintain clean and organized bar stations, equipment, glassware, coolers, and storage areas. Follow all alcohol-service laws and Hall's responsible alcohol-service policies. Check identification when required and recognize when alcohol service should be refused or discontinued. Serving & Guest Experience Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service. Take accurate food and beverage orders when providing table or bar service. Deliver food and beverages efficiently and accurately. Maintain familiarity with Hall's vendors, menus, specials, events, and ordering process so you can confidently assist guests. Check on guests throughout their experience and respond promptly when assistance is needed. Process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately through Hall's POS system. Resolve routine guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate. Help guests understand how to order, where to pick up orders, and how the food hall operates. Team & Hall Support Work collaboratively with Hall's employees, vendors, chefs, runners, bussers, and management. Run food and beverages when needed to keep service moving. Bus, wipe, sanitize, and reset tables when needed rather than walking past an area that requires attention. Assist with spills, guest accidents, trash, and general cleanups that occur throughout Hall's. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, bar, service areas, and other shared spaces. Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and general side-work responsibilities. Support events, brunch, markets, entertainment, private gatherings, and other high-volume periods. Communicate guest concerns, operational issues, low inventory, maintenance concerns, and other important information to management. Jump in and assist with other reasonable guest-service and operational responsibilities when the team needs support. What We're Looking For The ideal Bartender /
Server:
Has previous bartending and server experience. Has craft cocktail experience or strong cocktail knowledge when regularly scheduled behind the bar. Is friendly, confident, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of guests. Provides excellent customer service without sacrificing efficiency. Can multitask and remain organized during high-volume periods. Takes initiative and notices what needs attention without waiting to be told. Understands that teamwork sometimes means helping outside of your primary station. Communicates respectfully and professionally with guests, coworkers, vendors, and management. Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work when scheduled. Maintains a positive and professional attitude, even during stressful or busy periods. Is comfortable learning about multiple food concepts and menus. Can responsibly handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems. Is available for a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Certifications & Compliance Team members must maintain any food-handler or alcohol-service certifications required by Hall's on 5th or applicable regulations. All Bartenders / Servers are expected to follow Hall's policies regarding food safety, sanitation, proper handwashing, responsible alcohol service, cash handling, workplace conduct, and guest service. Physical Requirements This is an active hospitality position. Team members must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, carry, and move throughout the food hall. Carry trays, plates, glassware, beverages, and restaurant supplies. Safely lift and carry approximately 40 pounds when necessary. Perform repetitive tasks associated with bartending, serving, cleaning, and restaurant operations. Work comfortably in a busy environment with varying levels of noise and activity. What Success Looks Like A successful Hall's Bartender / Server understands that taking care of the guest comes before worrying about whose specific responsibility something is. If food is ready, help get it to the guest. If a table needs attention, help take care of it. If someone looks confused, ask if they need assistance. If the bar gets slammed, communicate and work together. If another team member needs reasonable support, jump in. At the same time, you are expected to know your assigned role for each shift and take ownership of those responsibilities.
