Possible housing + comprehensive benefits The Opportunity I am currently hiring on behalf of a luxury 4-Diamond resort in Key West for an experienced Maitre D' / Sommelier to lead the front-of-house dining experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished hospitality professional with strong wine knowledge who enjoys being highly visible on the floor, building relationships with guests, and delivering exceptional service in an upscale environment. The resort features approximately 100 guest rooms, multiple dining outlets, a full-service spa, pool and lounge, fitness facilities, and a prime downtown Key West location. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall dining room experience and act as the primary point of contact for guests. Manage reservations, seating plans, table assignments, and dining room flow. Build relationships with VIPs and repeat guests. Address guest concerns and ensure consistently high service standards. Open and close the restaurant five nights per week. Provide expert wine recommendations, pairings, presentation, and service. Assist with developing and maintaining the restaurant's wine program. Monitor wine inventory, storage, and beverage costs. Conduct wine education and training for the service team. Support wine dinners, special events, and other restaurant initiatives. Requirements 3-5+ years of upscale or fine-dining experience. Minimum Level 1 Sommelier certification required. Level 2 certification or WSET equivalent is preferred. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, food pairings, and wine service. Previous Maitre D', Sommelier, Wine Director, Captain, or upscale FOH leadership experience preferred. Strong guest engagement and communication skills. Polished, professional, and confident presence. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
