Part-time or Full-time, Non-exempt Recommended starting pay: $14.00 per hour plus tips, based on experience.
Position Summary:
The Bartender is the warm, energetic face of the hotel bar. This role prepares and serves beverages and food to a high standard while helping guests feel welcome, relaxed and at their best away from home. The Bartender brings the EVEN Hotels wellness-minded experience to life through thoughtful choices, friendly conversation, local knowledge and attentive service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Welcome every guest promptly and create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, nonalcoholic beverages and food accurately, consistently and with attractive presentation. Know the menu and confidently recommend both traditional favorites and balanced, wellnessminded options based on guest preferences. Verify identification, follow responsible alcoholservice practices and comply with all Florida alcohol laws and hotel policies. Take orders, enter transactions in the POS system, process cash and credit payments accurately, and maintain proper check control. Set up, stock and break down the bar; monitor product levels, rotate inventory and report shortages or equipment concerns. Maintain a clean, organized and inviting bar, including glassware, tools, work surfaces, storage areas and guest seating. Work closely with culinary, restaurant, banquet and frontdesk colleagues to provide seamless service throughout the hotel. Share helpful local recommendations and respond to guest questions with genuine care. Support promotions, special events, meetings and other hotel needs as assigned. Follow foodsafety, sanitation, security, cashhandling and workplacesafety procedures at all times. Qualifications At least one year of bartending, restaurant or hotel foodandbeverage experience preferred. Working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverage preparation. Strong guestservice, communication, organization and multitasking skills. Ability to read, write and perform basic math; experience with a POS system preferred. Must meet Florida's legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages and complete required alcoholawareness and foodsafety training. Reliable and flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Regularly stand and walk for extended periods; bend, reach, twist and kneel; use hands to prepare and serve beverages; and lift, push or pull supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. What Success Looks Like Guests feel welcomed and leave feeling better than when they arrived. Drinks and food are delivered accurately, efficiently and consistently. The bar remains clean, stocked, secure and ready for service. Cash, inventory and alcoholservice procedures are followed accurately.
