This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean bar area, and engaging with customers to enhance their dining experience. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing the POS system for processing transactions. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections. Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service and compliance with legal regulations. Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and register operations. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in beverage preparation. Skills Proficient in bartending techniques and knowledge of drink recipes. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals. Experience with cash registers and cash handling procedures. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to beverage service is advantageous.
