JOB SUMMARY

To prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and serve them to bar patrons or wait staff from restaurant, to maintain stock of liquor and bar supplies, and to collect money and account for drinks served.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Takes orders from patrons and from wait staff. Prepares and serves alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, and soft drinks as requested. 2. Is familiar with standard drinks and maintains supplies necessary to prepare common cocktails and beverages. 3. Orders or requisitions liquor and supplies as required in order to maintain an inventory up to par. 4. Prepares fruit and other garnishes as required to accompany drinks. 5. May keep bar supplied with snacks. 6. Keeps bar neat and with proper sanitation and displays glasses and liquors attractively. 7. Collects money from patrons and accounts for drinks served. 8. Asks customers who look underage for proof of majority. 9. Is responsible for maintaining pleasant atmosphere in bar, refusing to serve drunk or unruly patrons, and having them ejected if necessary. 10. Practice prudent portion controls, as set, using a portion control pourer. 11. Maintain accountability of all beverages. 12. Maintain proper and adequate set up of the bar according to standards. 13. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Prefer one year of bartending experience. 2. Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable. 3. Display knowledge of drink recipes, drink and wine merchandising specials. 4. Read, write and speak English fluently. 5. Working knowledge of drink service and bar terminology. 6. Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction. 7. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

: 1. High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year related experience and/or training.
