About our property:
Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, by Curio is a stunning waterfront destination located in Southwest Florida, offering the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. With 785 guest rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of event and meeting space, the resort is designed to accommodate both upscale leisure getaways and dynamic business gatherings. Guests can indulge in an impressive collection of 18 food and beverage outlets, from fine dining to casual coastal fare, showcasing flavors from around the world. The resort also features a luxurious pool scene, including the largest rooftop pool in Florida, providing sweeping views of Charlotte Harbor and an elevated, resort-style experience. Sunseeker is where elevated hospitality meets sun-soaked relaxation. What you will have an opportunity to do: Our Pool Bartenders are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by preparing the highest quality beverages, and providing timely, accurate, and friendly service for each guest. Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make classic and crafted drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies. They also handle food orders directly from customers or the wait staff and inform customers of any specials. They ensure food and beverage compliance, restock bar inventory, and manage the overall bar operations. All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resort policies, practices, and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Warmly greets and acknowledge guests and takes drink and food order; provides information about menu items and looks for an opportunity for additional sales (upselling). Engages with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assessing needs and making recommendations. Check identification of guests to verify they are of legal drinking age. Prepare and serve a wide variety of craft cocktail, beer and wines, and food. Must have a thorough knowledge of menu offerings. Eye for detail, properly using drink mixing tools and techniques. Prepares the correct garnishes for cocktails. Accurately processes transactions through the point-of-sale system ensuring cash, credit, and debit transactions are recorded accurately. Responds appropriately to customer concerns. Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests. Ensures a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar. Stocks and cleans glassware through the operation and maintenance of the glass washer and sanitizer. Inclusive of stocking and maintaining stock of any single-use equipment in bar operations. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed. Performs opening and closing side work, as directed. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Inventories all beverages and operation supplies, orders replacement items as needed. Build guest loyalty, uses guest name after obtained. Maintain a clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping. Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety. Other duties as assigned. What are we looking for?
Required:
Minium 21 years of age ServeSafe Food Handler's Certification or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year bartending experience Knowledge of federal, state, and local liquor laws Bilingual is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines. Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment. Professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip-resistant shoes. Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management. Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment. Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail are a must. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members. Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers. Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively, in English. Strong self-motivation and organizational skills. Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
