+ Travel Benefits About the Opportunity I'm currently hiring on behalf of a luxury, private-island resort in the Florida Keys that is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Sommelier to join its food and beverage team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong background in fine dining, luxury resorts and wine service who is looking to take ownership of a high-end wine program within an exceptional destination environment. The Role The Sommelier will be responsible for delivering an exceptional wine experience to guests while supporting the development and ongoing management of the resort's wine program.

Key responsibilities will include:

Curating and maintaining an extensive and high-quality wine selection. Providing expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests. Working closely with the culinary team on wine pairings and menu changes. Conducting wine tastings and providing engaging wine education to guests. Training and developing the wider Food & Beverage team on wine knowledge and service. Managing wine inventory, purchasing and stock levels. Building strong relationships with suppliers, distributors and wine representatives. Driving wine sales through knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service. Maintaining high standards of wine storage, presentation and service. Supporting private dining, special events and other guest experiences. Ensuring all wine service meets luxury hospitality and fine-dining standards. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: Previous experience as a Sommelier within a luxury hotel, resort or fine-dining environment . Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, varietals and wine service. Excellent wine pairing and guest engagement skills. Experience training and developing F&B teams. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive wine revenue. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for hospitality and delivering highly personalized guest experiences. Relevant wine qualifications such as WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent are highly desirable. The ability to work effectively in a high-end, fast-paced hospitality environment.
