Fine Dining Bartender Nobu Atlanta, a world-renowned Japanese restaurant, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our successful team as a Bartender . We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant, and our Bartenders are responsible for providing exceptional beverage service while creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and memorable experience for every guest. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering the Nobu standard of hospitality, reliable and supportive of their co-workers, and self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management, sound judgment, and the ability to remain composed and professional in a high-pressure environment. Bartenders are expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of Nobu's beverage and food offerings and consistently uphold all service, safety, and operational standards. Responsibilities Provide fast, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable beverage service in accordance with Nobu standards. Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, sake, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and other menu offerings accurately and consistently. Maintain complete knowledge of Nobu cocktails, wines, sakes, spirits, beverages, menu items, ingredients, and sauces. Take beverage and food orders accurately and provide informed recommendations based on guest preferences, dietary considerations, allergies, and price requirements. Create a personalized beverage and dining experience that reflects the Nobu style of service. Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant features, hours of operation, policies, procedures, and service standards. Verify guest identification and comply with all applicable laws and company policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and exercise appropriate judgment when intervention is necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and properly functioning bar and service area throughout the shift. Complete all opening, closing, and daily bar side work as assigned. Set up and break down the bar according to established procedures. Set up, clear, and maintain tables and service areas within the bar as needed. Monitor inventory levels and notify the Bar Manager of products and supplies that are running low. Assist with ordering and inventory responsibilities as assigned. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately and in accordance with company procedures. Resolve guest service concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to management when appropriate. Work collaboratively with the Bar Department, Front of House, and Back of House teams to ensure efficient service. Support and assist new team members to promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Attend all required meetings and mandatory training sessions. Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Alcohol Service, and Fire Safety policies and procedures. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in an upscale, high-volume, or fine-dining restaurant. Minimum 2 years of Lead Bartender or Captain Bartender experience preferred for candidates being considered for lead-level responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wine, sake, beer, and spirits. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong guest service and sales skills. Ability to confidently communicate with a diverse range of guests and team members. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence. Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and direction. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn restaurant technology and point-of-sale systems. Must be dependable, flexible, and available to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a luxury, upscale, or fine-dining restaurant environment. Experience working in a high-volume bar operation. Lead Bartender, Captain Bartender, or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of Japanese beverages, including sake and Japanese whisky. Experience with cocktail development, menu knowledge, beverage sales, and inventory management. Experience providing elevated, personalized service in a luxury hospitality environment. Physical Requirements The physical requirements described below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds . Ability to safely handle glassware, bar equipment, bottles, food products, and other supplies. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail and service standards. Create a smooth, personalized, and memorable dining experience from the moment the guest is welcomed through the completion of their visit.
