Food Runner/Barback

A food runner is responsible for delivering prepared dishes from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly and accurately. They act as a bridge between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring each plate reaches the right guest while it's still fresh and presented properly. Food runners often communicate with chefs and servers, double-check orders, and may describe dishes as they serve them. The role focuses on speed, attention to detail, and teamwork, helping keep service efficient and making sure guests get their meals without unnecessary delays. A barback supports the bartenders and keeps the bar running efficiently behind the scenes. They restock beer, wine, glassware, ice, and garnishes, making sure bartenders have everything they need during service. Barbacks also clean the bar area, take out trash, and help maintain overall organization and sanitation. The role is fast-paced and physical, focused on anticipation and teamwork—staying one step ahead so bartenders can serve customers quickly without interruptions.
