The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort

Server & Bartender

Job Description

Bring your personality. Share our hospitality. A warm welcome, a refreshing drink, and a delicious meal can turn a simple afternoon into a favorite memory. At The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, we're looking for a friendly, adaptable Server & Bartender to help create those moments at The Cottage's outdoor food truck. This hands-on role blends serving, bartending, and counter service during lunch and dinner. You'll welcome resort guests and local visitors, take orders, prepare beverages, deliver food, and keep service flowing with warmth and attention to detail. Whether recommending a menu favorite or helping a teammate during a busy shift, you'll help make the experience feel relaxed, lively, and polished. What You'll Do Welcome guests and offer thoughtful food and beverage recommendations. Take accurate orders and communicate special requests and dietary needs to the culinary team. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages according to resort standards. Practice responsible alcohol service, including checking identification and monitoring consumption. Deliver food and drinks, process payments, and respond to guest needs with care. Keep the bar, service window, and surrounding guest areas clean, stocked, and inviting. Work closely with teammates and move between responsibilities as business needs change. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes pride in their work, and brings a helpful spirit to every shift. Previous bartending, serving, restaurant, counter-service, cashier, or hotel experience is a plus. Clear communication in English with guests and teammates. Additional language skills are welcome. Attention to detail, basic math and payment-handling skills, and a willingness to learn. Sound judgment, dependable attendance, and the ability to stay composed during busy periods. Ability to meet applicable legal and resort age requirements for alcohol service and obtain required certifications. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The Work Environment This position works in and around a compact food truck and outdoor service area in changing coastal weather. The role involves extended standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and regularly moving supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities. Flexible availability is required, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with occasional special-event or seasonal service. Help Us Create Exceptional Experiences Join a team guided by gracious hospitality, thoughtful service, and pride in the guest experience. If you're ready to bring energy, care, and a welcoming presence to The Cottage, we'd love to hear from you. Rate will be $15/hr plus tips.
