Job Description

Bartender - Private Club Dining & Events Saddle & Cycle Club | Chicago, IL Saddle & Cycle Club is seeking polished, hospitality driven Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team. This position plays an important role in delivering an elevated member and guest experience throughout the Club's dining rooms, lounges, banquet spaces, and special events. The Bartender serves as both a beverage professional and hospitality ambassador while supporting daily member dining, private events, weddings, wine dinners, holiday functions, and club programming in a refined private club environment. Position Overview The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and service focused with the ability to thrive in both high volume and intimate hospitality settings. This individual should be comfortable supporting à la carte dining, banquet operations, cocktail receptions, and member events while maintaining the service standards and traditions of Saddle & Cycle Club. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages according to club standards
  • Provide attentive, professional, and welcoming service to members and guests
  • Maintain knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beer selections, and beverage pairings
  • Assist members with beverage recommendations and personalized service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
  • Support banquet functions, weddings, wine dinners, holiday events, and private member functions
  • Read and execute beverage service according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Assist with bar setup, breakdown, garnishes, mixers, syrups, and event preparation
  • Communicate effectively with culinary, banquet, and dining room teams during service
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with bar organization and cleanliness
  • Accurately enter orders into the Club POS system
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance throughout service Qualifications
  • Previous bartending, hospitality, banquet, restaurant, or private club experience preferred
  • Strong hospitality and member service skills
  • Knowledge of cocktails, wine service, spirits, and beer preferred
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events Certifications
  • Alcohol Beverage Certification required
  • Food Safety Certification preferred Position Details
