Role:
The Bartender position at our Wine Shop is a dynamic role focused on delivering exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced environment. The primary goal is to craft and serve a variety of drinks, including fine wines and cocktails, while ensuring an outstanding guest experience that aligns with our establishment's high standards. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized bar area, managing inventory, and adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations. The successful candidate will engage with customers professionally and courteously, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business. Ultimately, the Bartender will contribute to the overall success of the Wine Shop by combining technical bartending skills with excellent guest service and operational reliability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role within a fast-paced hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, including fine dining beverage standards and wine service. Ability to work standing for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items. Excellent guest service skills with a professional and well-groomed appearance. Reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain consistent service coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in bartending or mixology from a recognized institution. Experience working in a fine dining or upscale wine shop setting. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. Knowledge of local and state alcohol service laws and regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences. Provide attentive and personalized guest service, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and equipment. Manage inventory levels by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to management in a timely manner. Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff. Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently, balancing the cash register at the end of shifts. Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions while lifting and carrying heavy items as needed. Collaborate with team members to support smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
