Job Description
Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Barback, where you'll be the backbone of our bar operations, ensuring a seamless and energetic beverage service experience for our guests. As a vital support to bartenders and the entire venue, you'll handle essential tasks such as cleaning, bussing, bar maintenance, and food handling, all while maintaining a lively and positive atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills and grow within the food and beverage industry. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while supporting the smooth flow of service. Must legally be 21 or older. Responsibilities Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages promptly to keep the bar fully equipped during busy hours Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning surfaces, sinks, and bar tools in compliance with food service bar safety standards Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes efficiently to ensure a tidy environment for guests Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently Support food handling and preparation tasks as needed, including basic food prep for bar snacks or garnishes Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to assist with cash handling and order processing when required Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely service delivery and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced venue setting Experience Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred Familiarity with venue beverage service, catering, banquet events or hotel operations is advantageous Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances your ability to support cash handling and order accuracy Knowledge of food safety standards and bar safety compliance ensures a secure environment for staff and guests Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and delivering excellent customer service Prior bar experience or barista experience is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods Join us if you're passionate about hospitality, eager to develop your skills in a dynamic environment, and ready to contribute to an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences!
