Server/Bartender

Acres Inn is a fast-casual restaurant in downtown Pontiac focused on quality food, thoughtful sourcing, and genuine hospitality. We're a small, growing team building something long-term in a historic space.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service Greet and engage guests with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency Take food and drink orders, input them accurately into the POS, and ensure timely service Answer menu questions and make recommendations with confidence Check in with tables, anticipate guest needs, and resolve issues smoothly Bartending Duties Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe and quality standards Maintain clean, organized bar and service areas Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible serving guidelines Set up and break down bar stations for service and events Teamwork & Operations Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service Follow all opening/closing checklists for bar and server stations Help maintain a clean and welcoming dining room and patio area Restock supplies and maintain par levels for bar inventory

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a server and/or bartender preferred Basic cocktail knowledge and willingness to learn house recipes Strong multitasking and communication skills Must be 21+ and able to obtain or provide proof of BASSET certification (Illinois) Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Able to work a mix of evenings, weekends, and special events Please do not call the restaurant or message us on social media regarding your application.
