Job Description
Chandlers Chophouse Restaurant and bar are looking for restaurant bartenders/ servers. Chandlers Events is looking for banquet bartender/servers ( $21-23 per hour + tips ) and a experienced Banquet Captain ( $25-30 + Tips ) for Schaumburg, IL. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced banquet captain to lead our team of banquet hosts. You will be responsible for planning and executing the banquet menu, as well as providing excellent customer service. You will be required to work evenings and weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and hospitality to join our team. Very lucrative pay for a banquet Manager w/ experience. Responsibilities Develop and maintain an understanding of Banquet Captain responsibilities, policies, and procedures Plan banquet menus based on the needs of the company Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure the correct ingredients are used in the right quantities at the right cost Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely manner conforming to menu guidelines Ensure that all guests feel welcome and welcome back again Ensure that all guests have a positive experience Maintain sanitation standards at all times according to health codes Manage any guest complaints or complaints about food with a manager or supervisor Manage any staff member that works banquets Manage any discrepancies between staff time sheets and time on duty Ensure that staff are properly paid for hours worked Manage any problems that may arise during a shift Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer service at all times Keep accurate records of guest tickets, lead generation, lead tracking, sales, and banquet attendance. Prepare banquet tables with attention to detail and sanitation standards. Prepare food items according to company recipes. Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience in banquet planning or similar role preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent leadership skills; must be able to supervise and manage employees during a shift. Excellent problem solving skills; must be able to resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Must be able to handle guest complaints with a professional attitude. Must be able to stand for long periods of time; must have good physical stamina. Must have knowledge of proper food handling procedures, kitchen sanitation, sanitation procedures, food safety guidelines, food safety procedures, and SOPs (Stand Operating Protocols). Must have knowledge of catering equipment such as: Food processors, mixers, ovens, grills etc... Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifts per week. Must be able to work evenings & weekends.
