The French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel provide luxurious AAA Four-Diamond accommodations for guests seeking relaxation, romance, family time or excitement. An easy drive from Indianapolis and Louisville, this upscale destination features championship golf courses, world-class spas, Vegas-style gaming, horseback riding and activities for kids. Responsibilities for this Position Provides attentive and friendly service to customers. Takes orders from customers, bar waiter/waitress, and service personnel. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serves wine and draught or bottled beer. Collects money for drinks served. Operates, balances and reconciles cash till and POS sales. Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks. Prepares appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats. Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts. Monitors consumption of alcohol by guests. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change. Performs other reasonable duties as requested by Management. Requirements Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit. One year certificate from college or technical school or 4 years current related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment. Must possess a valid employee alcohol permit. Must be able to identify and resolve problems under pressure conditions. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Must be hands-on. Must always present a hospitality mentality--warm and generous. Must always ensure a teamwork environment.
Technical Requirements:
Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Requires strong organizational skills. Must be able to work independently. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time. Excellent people skills. Must meet grooming standards. We provide a substance free environment. Substance testing is mandatory.
