Server/Bartender

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional guest service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by providing high-quality beverages and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. We are looking for weekday coverage in the evenings and days if possible. With some weekend availability. The hours will fluctuate from week to week depending upon availability. The position pays $7.25 an hour for a Server/Bartender, but the pay would include tips and the ability to earn much more!

Duties:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register or POS system
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol-related laws and regulations
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or disruptive behavior
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for food orders and catering events

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry preferred but not required
• Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with Square POS system or similar software is a plus
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
