DESCRIPTION
Hammer & Quill is a leader in the craft cocktail market within the Michiana area. Our independent & local owners provide a unique hands-on philosophy to business operations. We apply that same approach to our sister company, The General Deli, located adjacent to HQ. The General is open 7-4 Mon-Fri, 8-4 Sat & Sun while HQ is 4-midnight Mon-TH & 4-1am Fri & Sat. HQ is whiskey centric by design while also providing a dynamic seasonal cocktail menu that reflect the artistry of mixology. HQ is seeking an experienced manager and mixologist that possesses a professional passion towards hospitality. The manager's responsibilities include leading the staff and operations, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment is maintained for the guests to enjoy. Primary duties include scheduling employees, bartending, meeting with distributors reps, stocking product, taking physical inventory quarterly, developing the beverage program, and overseeing social media presence. HQ offers competitive wages, paid time off and quarterly bonus based on growing the revenue compared to previous history. SKILLS Managing inventories to ensure all necessary ingredients are stocked for service Hiring new staff and training them to become acclimated to HQ culture and processes Setting and enforcing cleaning standards to maintain a sanitary environment Maintaining staff schedules Tracking spending to identify areas of potential waste Proven customer service experience Extensive food and beverage knowledge, training and experience Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Growing sales over previous years, which ties directly into bonus program

EDUCATION
High school or equivalent Bachelor's degree in relevant field (preferred)
EXPERIENCE 3
years bartending or 1 year of bar management experience
LICENSE/CERIFICATION
