Job Description
The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly, professional service while preparing beverages accurately and maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar. The bartender will be able to work side by side with management on maintaining an inventory with minimal loss, reporting all accidents i.e. broken bottles, glasses, customer issues, with management at any given time. Key Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and provide professional service. Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Blue Sky recipes and standards. Verify identification and follow all applicable state alcohol-service laws and restaurant policies. Monitor customer consumption and communicate concerns to management. Never serve alcohol to an obviously intoxicated guest. Maintain accurate cash and payment handling. Keep the bar, equipment, glassware, and surrounding areas clean and organized. Restock beer, liquor, mixers, garnishes, cups, ice, and other supplies. Bartender must be able to change kegs. Maintain proper inventory awareness and communicate low-stock items to management. Follow proper portion control and beverage recipes. Must be able to use a jigger and measuring utensils needed to accurately make drink recipes. Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house employees. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism. Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned. Expectations Bartenders are expected to be responsible, attentive, professional, and knowledgeable about Blue Sky's menu and beverage offerings. Customer service, cleanliness, accuracy, responsible alcohol service, and teamwork are essential at all times. Prior experience preferred
