Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements in a timely manner Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems we use Toast systems! Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and enhance their overall experience Process cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours such as nights and weekends Assist in beverage recipe development and experiment with new cocktail ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting Uphold high standards of customer service by actively listening to guest needs and resolving issues promptly Skills Extensive experience with POS systems, we use Toast POS; proficiency in processing cash transactions accurately Knowledge of beverage recipes, mixology techniques, wine varieties, craft beer styles, spirits, and cocktail creation Proven ability in food service environments with fine dining or nightclub experience preferred Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude Solid understanding of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as tipping, change making, inventory counts, and sales tracking Experience in bar management or catering is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential as there may be additional tasks delegated to staff that assisst with inventory tracking.
