SoLou is a chef-owned restaurant on Perkins with one of the best patios in Baton Rouge. Our bar stays busy — brunch, weekend nights, patio all day long. We're hiring two bartenders who want to make real money and actually stick around.

WHAT YOU'LL MAKE

$22-$30 an hour with tips. Brunch and weekends are where the money is, and yes, you'll get those shifts. We're not going to bury you on Mondays and call it opportunity.

Class schedule. Second job. Standing plans every Tuesday. Tell us and we'll build around it. Full-time and part-time both work here, and neither one makes you a second-class citizen on the schedule.

WHAT WE'RE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR

Someone people like being around. That's the whole thing. If you can build drinks fast and keep a clean station, great — that helps. But we can teach specs, and we can teach steps of service. We can't teach caring about the person sitting on the other side of the bar. Bring that part and we'll handle the rest. Must be 18 or older and able to get a Louisiana ABO server permit. We'll walk you through it. Bar experience helps. But if you're a strong server ready to move behind the bar and nobody's given you the shot yet — apply. That's a conversation we want to have.
