Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:- Assume responsibility for the continuous cleanliness and set-up of the bar, grill, cocktail lounge/pub, and equipment.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining all par stock levels of alcoholic beverages in service areas.
- Ensure quantity levels of food and beverage products and maintain quality standards in services, facilities, and member/guest satisfaction.
- Answer telephones and communicate information to callers in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome and at ease.
- Advise supervisor of any member/guest complaints so they can be immediately and professionally resolved.
- Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager or Clubhouse Manager
- Verify the accuracy of prices, State and Federal Taxes, tips, and other charges on all customer checks and accurately operate the Point of Sale system per the Operating Procedures Manual.
- Ensure compliance with operating guidelines concerning both the ServSafe Alcohol or Tips programs.
- Handle and move ½ barrel (16 gallon keg) weighing up to 145 pounds from storage areas to service area, using cart or hand dolly, daily or as needed.
- Handle and count cash in some instances and make accurate change.
- Record member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
- Take customer orders and serve food and beverages professionally and courteously.
- Close the bar at the designated times, complete the closing server reports and secure the entire club using the standard closing procedures.
- Not allow unauthorized persons behind the bar.
- Understand and comply with state liquor laws as they relate to serving liquor to the public.
- Ensure that the Food & Beverage Manager, Clubhouse Manager and/or General Manager is informed of member/guests who may be intoxicated. Any member/guest who is intoxicated is not to be served.
- Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Tedesco Country Club and assist with the implementation of Tedesco standards of operations as they relate to the Food & Beverage operations.

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Ability to provide effective written and verbal instructions, as well as the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
- Ability to write and read customer food and beverage orders
- Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping and other repetitive tasks for up to five (5) hours without sitting.
