Get To Know The Hotel at Arundel Preserve! The Hotel at Arundel Preserve is the premier independent hotel in the BWI\Hanover market close to Columbia, Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington DC. As an upscale property with two unique full-service restaurants, an extensive fitness center, and indoor pool along with 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, it is perfect for both business travelers, leisure guests and groups. We also host high-end weddings and corporate events, and focus on delivering highly personalized service to all of our guests.

BARTENDER

[ON-CALL] Position Summary Responsible for expertly mixing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests of the bar, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all patrons. This includes crafting cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing other specialty drinks as requested. Essential Functions Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks for the bar and restaurant. Serves wine, draft or bottled beer, and food to bar guests according to hotel standards. Collect payments for drinks served following the hotel's established accounting procedures. Respond to guests' needs. Guide guests in selecting food and beverage items. Merchandise cocktail hours and special events. Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing the intoxication of guests. Follow alcohol awareness procedures for handling an intoxicated guest. Prepares drinks and verifies correct pricing. Assist servers with bar knowledge. Cleans, sanitizes, restocks, and stores bar items according to procedures. Secure all money at the end of each shift. Keep the immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Serves bar menu food according to hotel standards. Responsible for the proper storage of alcohol. Responsible for cleaning bar service and guest areas. Report maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor Requisitions alcohol and bar food according to hotel standards. Additional Responsibilities Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands, and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. Education and Experience Previous bartending experience. Skills and Abilities Ability to stand for long periods of time. Good knowledge of liquor and preparation methods.
