Overview We have an opening for an experience bartender to join our team. We are a destination high volume destination Tavern located in the heart of Deep Creek Lake. These are year round positions. In this role, you will be the heart of the bar, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional beverage service and engaging interactions. Your expertise in mixology, beverage presentation, and customer service will elevate our establishment's reputation for excellence. Current Maryland TIPS certification preferred(or willingness to get certified) Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience and foster repeat business. Manage bar inventory, including stock replenishment, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area. Process cash and card transactions accurately using Toast POS. Develop and refine beverage recipes, experimenting with new cocktails to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, responsible alcohol service policies, and health regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions. Experience Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, brewing processes, and beverage recipe development. Familiarity with POS systems. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders seamlessly during peak hours. Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism. Previous food service experience including serving, cashiering, or catering is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety standards and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
