Job Description
Overview Sugarloaf is looking for a lead bartender/mixologist with a great knowledge of cocktails, wine and craft beers who is interested in bringing ideas & talents to drive the craft cocktail program at our resort's signature restaurant location, 45 North. As a Lead Bartender at 45 North, you will create a warm and lively social space that compels guests to start with a craft cocktail or refreshing beverage and stay for the atmosphere. This role is the life of the party in the heart of the restaurant and your speedy cocktail skills are always on display. The right fit for this role will be passionate about their craft and enjoy customer service. This tip eligible position will start at a rate of $11/hr. Must have extensive knowledge of bar and food menu Mix cocktails and prepare all alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages Prepare sub ingredients (tinctures, syrups, mixes, etc) used in our cocktail program Serve guests at bar and the dining rooms via wait staff at service bar Lead, train and monitor team Maintain inventory of liquor, wine & beer Perform opening and closing duties, pre-shift and post-shift, as wells as completing required stocking and cleaning duties during shift Responsible for cash handling, ensuring till is accurately balanced, and calculating tip outs Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role will: preferably be familiar with Sugarloaf and the surrounding areas in order to answer guest questions and direct accurately (or be able to gain familiarity and build local knowledge quickly) be at least 21 years old be a team player that is also able to work independently as needed Sugarloaf Team Member Benefits include : Free lift pass for skiing and/or riding Discounts at resort F&B and retail locations, discounted ski/snowboard lessons and rentals Access to Nordic trails and discounted equipment rentals at our Outdoor Center location Discounted passes at other Boyne and partner resorts
