Job Description

Overview Sugarloaf is looking for a full and part time Rental Shop Ski Techs to assist our guests through the process of renting equipment while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced morning and afternoon environment. This position is highly customer-focused beginning with initial paperwork through to set up of boots, skis, poles and helmets. Guests of all ability levels rent equipment, have a wide variety of questions and concerns about the process, and seek information about the resort. Candidates who feel comfortable interacting with guests and in finding out what they need to have a great experience will find this job rewarding. We currently have both full and part time positions available for the coming winter season. Both are anticipated to start at a wage of $15.50 to $20 per hour (depending upon experience) and come with great job perks. Come join our team! Responsibilities Help guests pick out appropriate size skis/snowboard. Fit boots and adjust bindings to proper settings for comfort and safety. Verify all signatures and initials on liability release form. Tuning and waxing of skis and snowboards. Select correct size ski poles. Binding test per ASTM standards. Assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees Participate in safety meetings Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor. Willing to be cross trained in all Rental Shop positions. Qualifications Past experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right fit. Knowledge of gear is required but can be acquired on the job if you are a fast learner.
