About us Seva is an independent restaurant located on the west side of Ann Arbor. We are professional, inclusive, and committed to driving positive change in our world. Our work environment includes growth opportunities, a safe work environment, and a stable weekly schedule. We currently have openings for part-time servers with both weekday and weekend availability. Successful candidates will have at least two years of full-service restaurant experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and will enthusiastically provide warm, friendly service experiences to our guests. As a server, you will play a vital role in our dining room operations. You will be responsible for serving delicious vegetarian and vegan food and beverages while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and service. Your expertise in customer service will contribute to the overall success of our dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Greeting and seating customers Taking customer orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences, and accurately entering them into the POS system Handling payment transactions and operate the POS system accurately Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and bar

QUALIFICATIONS

At least two years experience in full-service restaurant dining. Ability to think and perform clearly in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Knowledge of restaurant operations. Ability to maintain professional standards and work well in a team environment. Physically ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform necessary work duties. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Punctuality and the ability to complete tasks with limited supervision.
