Key Responsibilities Drink Preparation & Service:
Mix, garnish, and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages—including craft cocktails, wine, and beer—quickly and accurately according to established recipes.
Guest Engagement:
Greet patrons warmly, present drink menus, make thoughtful recommendations, and take orders with a customer-first attitude.
Compliance & Safety:
Strictly enforce alcohol consumption laws by checking legal identification and monitoring guest safety and intoxication levels.
Bar Operations:
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized bar counter, seating area, and glassware station throughout the shift.
Financial Integrity:
Efficiently operate the POS (point-of-sale) system, process cash and card payments, manage open tabs, and accurately balance the register at closing.
Collaboration:
Partner closely with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow across the venue.
Requirements & Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience:
[1-2+ years] of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, pub, or cocktail lounge preferred.
Certifications:
Current alcohol server certification (e.g., [TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol]) or willingness to obtain one before starting. A valid food handler's card is a plus.
