Lead Bartender

Tallulah, one of Birmingham's most timeless and sought-after dining destinations, is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Bartender to join our team. We are looking for a high-energy, hospitality-driven professional who embodies excellence in both craft and guest experience. This leadership role requires someone who can seamlessly execute classic cocktails while introducing innovative, elevated beverage creations that align with our brand. As Lead Bartender, you will set the tone behind the bar—curating exceptional guest interactions, mentoring team members, and ensuring every detail reflects the sophistication and warmth of Tallulah.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and elevate the bar program, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence in every drink served Provide a welcoming, engaging, and personalized guest experience, anticipating preferences and making thoughtful recommendations Design and develop seasonal cocktail menus, incorporating both classic techniques and modern innovation Train, mentor, and support bar staff, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism Oversee inventory management, ordering, and bar organization to ensure seamless operations Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, food safety, and quality standards Execute precise drink preparation, presentation, and service with attention to detail Manage transactions accurately, including cash handling and register balancing Maintain a pristine and organized bar environment at all times

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bartender in an upscale or high-volume environment (leadership experience preferred) Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and spirits, with a passion for innovation Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Polished, professional appearance with a warm, engaging presence Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences At Tallulah, we are more than a restaurant, we are a curated experience rooted in style, connection, and elevated hospitality.
