Bartender Job Summary:
As a bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere by providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks. You will interact with customers, take drink orders, mix cocktails, and ensure that the bar area is clean and well-stocked. Attention to detail, multitasking, and a strong knowledge of beverages, including spirits, wines, and beers, are essential to ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The role also includes handling cash transactions, maintaining inventory, and adhering to health and safety regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and break down the bar area, ready all garnishments needed for the preparation of drinks Assure you are equipped with a bottle opener, wine opener, pens, check presenters, rubber bands, paper clips, complaint forms, pos paper, etc. Ensure the order and cleanliness of the bar is in accordance to health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness of bottles, rails, check presenters, computers, and bar area. Clean and polish bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc. Maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, replenish ice at bar, etc., and stock refrigerating units with wines, beer, etc. Perform accurate cash and POS procedures, count bank before and after shift. Suggest wines by the glass and bottle options which supports our sharing concept. Ensure standardization and consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality, preparing and serving drinks according to recipes for guests and server. Responsible to "up sell" on any given opportunity. Retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, using the Bar Food menu as another selling tool. Recommending/pairing a certain dish that the guest might have with the drink. Checks identification for proof of age when required. Build a rapport with guests while serving them. Monitor guest's drinks and anticipate guest's needs. Keep the bar counter, shelves, rails, stools, and all surfaces around the bar clean at all times. Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Must be knowledgeable about Hotel, Restaurant/Lounge and surroundings, i.e. nearby entertainment, stores, hotels, etc. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Customer service oriented with an outgoing, upbeat and positive personality. Professional well-groomed appearance. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines. Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment. Food and Beverage product knowledge and experience. Must be state required age to serve alcohol. Knowledge and familiarity with state liquor liability laws BASSET certified.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
