Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and reliable Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bar/ kitchen environments and possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for opening or closing the bar, crafting and serving beverages including craft cocktails, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience. Your ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle cash transactions will be essential in this role. We are actively looking to fill various year round and seasonal positions in the schedule. Compensation is $7 hourly plus tips, ensuring a minimum wage of at least $15 hourly. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Interact with guests in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and taking drink orders efficiently. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using the POS system, including processing payments and managing cash register operations. Assist with beverage prep services as needed, ensuring items are adhered to health and safety standards. Adhere to all food & beverage handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Maintain a given opening, closing, and cleaning schedule daily and weekly. Skills Previous experience in bartending and serving skills is preferred. Proficient in using POS systems for order entry and cash handling. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items when appropriate. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. We are a small, but fun and fast paced bar. We work hard, get along, and make great money while doing so!
