Job Description

Cook / Counter Team Member - Hammerin' Hank's Hammerin' Hank's is looking for experienced, hardworking team members to join our new kitchen crew! This is a fast-paced position that combines cooking, prep work, customer service, and cashier responsibilities. We need someone who can handle multiple priorities at once, stay organized during rushes, and keep a positive attitude while moving with urgency. We're not looking for someone who just wants to "work the register" or only cook in the background — this role requires someone comfortable doing both, while also helping with food prep and kitchen organization behind the scenes. What You'll Be Doing Cooking menu items quickly, consistently, and with attention to quality Prepping ingredients and assembling food items for service Preparing batch recipes and staple menu components such as sauces, toppings, soups, prep mixes, and other kitchen items Portioning, stocking, labeling, and organizing prep items Taking customer orders and accurately ringing them into the POS system Handling cash and card transactions efficiently Managing ticket flow and prioritizing orders during busy rushes Keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized throughout shifts Following food safety and sanitation standards at all times Helping maintain consistency in recipes, portions, and overall food quality Creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for customers while staying focused under pressure What We're Looking For Previous cooking or kitchen experience is
REQUIRED
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize independently Comfortable interacting with customers while handling kitchen responsibilities Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Team player mentality — willing to jump in wherever needed Experience with food prep, batch cooking, line cooking, or restaurant kitchen operations strongly preferred Experience with POS systems and cash handling is a plus Ability to stay calm, focused, and organized during busy nights and events The Hank's Culture At Hank's, we work hard, move fast, and keep things fun.
