Bartender

Job Overview We are a very successful modern Italian restaurant seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bartender/server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is a split role between both bartending and serving. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest relations. We are looking for experience in fine dining, with knowelege of spirits, cocktails and wine. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and promotions, to enhance guest experience. Assist with food preparation and ensure all dishes are presented according to restaurant standards. Sanitate tables, utensils, and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Buss tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a clean dining environment for incoming guests. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues effectively. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders. Upsell menu items to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills for effective guest relations and teamwork. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as necessary during shifts.
