Full Job Description Servers:

Key responsibilities: Greet guests and present menus Explain menu items, specials, and answer questions Take accurate food and drink orders Enter orders into the POS system Deliver food and beverages to tables Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction Handle complaints or issues professionally Process payments (cash, card, etc.) Reset tables and maintain cleanliness Skills & qualities: Strong communication and people skills Good memory and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills (for bills and tips) Friendly, patient attitude Verify identification and age requirements of customers Mix traditional and creative cocktails Process payment from customers Clean glasses and bar utensils Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere

Bartender:

Key responsibilities: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks Know recipes for classic cocktails and house specials Check IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service Maintain cleanliness of the bar area Track inventory and restock supplies Handle cash and process payments Engage with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere Sometimes prepare simple food items (depending on the place) Skills & qualities: Knowledge of drinks, liquor, and mixing techniques Strong multitasking and time management Good judgment (especially for alcohol service) Customer service and conversational skills Physical stamina (long hours standing)
