Job Description Pigeon Creek Golf Course is a family-owned, 18-hole facility in West Olive, MI. We are seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Pro Shop Bartender and/or Beverage Cart Bartender. We seeking customer-focused individuals with experience preparing a wide variety of classic and craft cocktails, beer, and wine while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar, managing inventory and cash handling, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and safety standards. Known for strong communication, multitasking abilities, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Provide menu knowledge and general information on the products we carry behind the bar.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control. Restock coolers, liquor, dry goods, and maintain an organized and clean bar.
Responsible Alcohol Sales/Consumption:
Verify customer age and follow all alcohol service regulations.
Point-of-Sale:
Operate the register, process transactions, and handle cash, credit, or debit card payments accurately.
General Bar Duties:
Keep the bar clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Team Collaboration:
Communicating with other bartenders who are working opposite shifts as you to make sure everything is well stocked and ready for another successful shift. As well as coordinating with the golf staff to ensure the best customer service.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older. Previous bartending experience preferred. General knowledge of alcohol. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Basic math skills and experience with point-of-sale systems. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Reliable, friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
